Kermit A. Murray, MD received his bachelor's degree in biology and psychology at the University of Miami in Miami, Florida. He then received a medical degree at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed an intern year in obstetrics and gynecology at Mercy Hospital in Chicago, Illinois and then completed a family practice residency at La Grange Hospital in La Grange, Illinois.
Dr. Murray is a diplomat with the American Board of Family Practice. He moved to Tucson, Arizona after serving as a clinical instructor of Family Medicine at the University of Miami/Miller School of Medicine in Miami, Florida. He has worked in Urgent Care, Travel Medicine, Occupational Medicine and Academic Medicine. Dr. Murray is married, has two children and is interested in architecture and interior design.

I've had four primary care doctors total my entire life. When my doctor of 20 years retired there were some big shoes to fill. I tried another primary before Dr. Murray, and while she seemed great initially she was not a good fit. Dr. Murray is. He listens, I don't feel rushed or judged and he's very knowledgeable and shares his knowledge without ego. That's very important to me.

Dr. Murray is a doctor who makes me feel like he could be my friend. He never makes me feel like he is in a rush, he doesn't seem to mind when I ask numerous questions. He tells me if I can use some medicine that can be found over-the-counter, or he could prescribe some meds. but the over-the-counter is cheaper and works just as well.

I've been going to this office since Reifschnider got there. I love this office. Dr Murray is wonderful. I've had some good docs in the past, but he has gotten me through a lot. Always willing to talk, give a referral, and answer honestly (sometimes brutally honest when I need it.) I have not had a bad experience with him or his staff. Peggy too. she is amazing.

Got to Carondelet office at 2:25 PM. Receptionist knew who I was and I took a seat. In less than 1 minute I was called in weighed, vitals taken and sat down in exam room. In less than 2 minutes doctor arrived and immediately knew that I had a cyst on my left wrist and wrote a referral for specialist. I was out the door at 2:38 PM. Record time I'd say! Next day specialist called and booked appointment. I'd say the only way to do better is provide a cookie.
