The office staff was very courteous and accommodating. I may have asked several questions and sometimes needed clarification; however, their team was consistently friendly and professional. I do not recall the name of the receptionist, but she was very helpful. She explained the procedures for my appointment and informed me that I needed to have X-rays completed prior to my visit, which I was previously unaware of. She was approachable and easy to talk to, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.

Dr. Dixon is the surgeon who replaced my knees ten years ago. He was known to be the top surgeon performing these surgeries.He also performed the same surgeries for my primary care doctor who referred me to him. As I said before, I have already recommended Dr. Dixon to friend's and family; also, when a patient hear me say I had an appointment with Dr. Dixon she said he did her knee surgery and she was no longer In pain and that was very reassuring. Also, I overheard a conversation in the waiting room that she went to see another doctor and he messed up her knee so Dr. Dixon had to go in and she said she was walking better and pain free.

I have a couple of friends that wanted a second opinion and they have appointments to see Dr. Dixon; I had a concern about a medication, called the doctor's office and received a call back from the nurse with a response from the doctor; doctor gave me a backup plan on what to do but said if I wanted to proceed with the surgery to call back and they will gladly take care of it.

I was impressed that Dr. Dixon did not recommend immediate right hip replacement surgery. I had a surgery scheduled with another orthopedic surgeon when I met with Dr. Dixon. I assumed that Dr. Dixon would also recommend surgery and was pleasantly surprised that he wanted to put surgery off for about 1 1/2 years or so. It was totally unexpected by me, and a great relief that he recommended a cortisone shot and anti-inflammatory medication first. I subsequently cancelled my surgery with the other doctor. Since I had the cortisone shot and started the medication, my whole hip situation has settled down. It's no longer the focal point of my day, i.e., pain, anxiety about when the sharp pain will be set off, feelings of insecurity that I'll drop a casserole dish I've taken out of the oven, etc. My energy is more positive and I'm focusing on creativity in my projects rather than being focused on feeling incapacitated. I am very grateful to Dr. Dixon or helping me to gain more control over my hip and my mobility. I have almost no pain now, and I'm not even taking pain medication, Tylenol. The improvement has been low keyed, yet super important to my daily functioning. I am grateful to be able to postpone surgery because I've already had breast cancer surgery this year as well as a crown on a broken tooth. I'm enjoying a break from medical interventions.

Dr Dixon is terrific. When I ask a question, he has always given me an appropriate answer. He has explained both what was causing my symptoms and has guided me through a series of treatments with hopes that they will relieve my pain sufficiently to postpone the need for surgery. Once that was looking like surgery was going to be the logical next step, he explained what was going to happen next. He had given me bilateral injections to give them one last try to work on my most painful knee. Since he wouldn't have any surgical openings until August, this would give that medicine time to see if it would help this time. If it did, surgery could be canceled. He had his scheduling assistant go ahead and book my surgery. She, Gina, contacted me the next day and gave me an information packet with the date and time of my surgery and all the next steps for me to take. Gina answered my questions completely and with Grace, and gave me her contact number if I had further questions. It is so helpful for me to have this information so I can see what appointments I may have to reschedule, dental appointments especially. This will be an interesting journey, and I feel like I'm in good hands to get me to my desired goal.

I only have positive remarks for Dr. Tim B. Dixon! Too bad there is not an EXCELLENT score in these boxes. From the moment he entered the room he was very respectful, caring, and perceptive. It was evident that Dr. Dixon knows how to communicate with older, fragile patients. He clearly explained what happened to my left knee that was causing so much pain by pointing to the metal pins on the x-rays. Then he talked about what I could do at home to get well. Most importantly he said I did not need major knee surgery, which would have been highly frightening. At the end of our meeting I felt as if I was actually seen by a real doctor!

I can always tell when I'm in good hands, and this whole operation shines. I walk into the office, everything is clean, surroundings are calm and pleasant, magazines are placed neatly and are entertaining. There are real orchids on the reception desk behind the glass. Appointments are on time, there are no lines, the seating is comfortable, uncrowned. This is a well managed place. People show pride in what they are doing and I am given the feeling that they are glad to see me. How special is that?!
