Ayla Diamond’s goal is to provide individualized quality patient care, with a focus on patient education and collaborative medicine towards better outcomes. She is a Physician Assistant, and Surgical First Assist to Neurosurgeon Matthew Wilson MD. She competed her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies at Northern Arizona University in 2016. Afterward, she spent her first four years of practice in Orthopedic Surgery with Banner Orthopedics at Banner Boswell and Banner Del Webb. Ayla is certified by The National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Outside of medicine she enjoys volunteering, hiking, running, soccer, gardening, cooking and spending time with her husband.

Dr. Wilson was the surgeon who place the shunt in my head after many falls and I recovered well and have not had any more falls (I think I was clumsy in walking and talking most of the time. I am happy that I had that surgery and have not had anymore problems about falling.

Dr. Wilson provided the best possible medical care and personally made sure things went as needed at the hospital. He came by every day following surgery and was very honest about the decisions he made and he explained "why" he made those decisions. I could tell he is personally vested in my care and committed that I have a successful outcome.

I'd like to acknowledge Jaime Arrieta who lead the back class prior to surgery. He is the most caring and dedicated person I've interacted with who is not a doctor. He personally cares that you are taken care of during the entire process and he came by the hospital every day to check my progress and see if I needed anything. He took time out of his busy schedule to call and make sure that all my questions were answered. He is truly unique and I am grateful for his help before, during and after surgery. I expected my surgeon to be the best, and he Is, but Jaime is what made this experience different from any other I've had!
