Amy Matchett, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, joins CMG as an experienced community clinician. She spent eight years as a trauma progressive care and medical surgical Registered Nurse at Banner University Medical Center.
She prides herself on building trusting relationships with her patients and is committed to practicing compassionate care that empowers our community. Amy is passionate about providing evidence-based practice that is combined with complementary and holistic medicine. She has a varied background with her experience and education combined that allows her to provide the highest level of care and improve the overall well-being of the patients she serves.
Amy is board certified by The American Nurses Credentialing Center. In addition, she is a member of several nursing societies: The Southern Arizona Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner Society, Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Society, & Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.
During her free time, she enjoys cooking, kickboxing, University of Arizona sports, and spending quality time traveling with her husband.

I had to call and schedule the appointment because there was no availability showing for Amy and I went forward to February of 2026. I called the location and they were able to get me scheduled in on a day that worked for me. They were considerate and helpful when I called. I emailed in the portal and requested that lab orders be made so I could go to the labs the morning of my appointment and that was taken care of right away. The team at the stone location is always helpful.

I'm terrible with computer. I looked for a couple of health websites relating to lowering your blood sugar. One was a doctor who researched it for 20+ yrs after his father died from it & said he 'came up with a protein diet plan' that he gave to 300 plus volunteers that stabilized their blood sugar-mainly meat & dairy (no sweets) and it worked-I'm going to try it. I am also part of "Banner" and intend to change that as "Carondelet" is a HUGE cut above. The doctors are better, the staff is kinder, and the nurses are amazing and I'm always listened to and treated like a human being. My PCP Dr. Amy Matchett is the best doctor I've ever had - so intelligent, efficient, and a great dose of humor. The latter is really important when one is sick. I was mistreated and dropped by everyone at Banner so it dawned on me - go see Amy! It was the best decision I've ever made because she is like me: 1) she can't stand a puzzle going unsolved.She also doesn't immediately refer me to the amazing care of CVS for a "bandaid" and will stick with me until the issue is solved, doing all she can. Moreover, she takes the very best visit notes - extremely thorough and her efficiency is amazing. She also never, ever, ever makes me feel as though she is running for the door.

I am very happy to return to Amy Matchett because she is efficacious during our visit, she asked the right questions and responded all my own questions. She plans ahead and gives me great advice and guidance about the plan we have for my own health care. I appreciated the time Amy Matchett spent with me to explain illness process. She listened extremely well and updated my chart with the information from the Rheumtologist. We discussed my A1C which had decreased as I was also decreasing Prednisone. I appreciated her listening and discuss again the medication Glipizide if that will be continued. My blood sugar readings have ranged from 74-118, nothing above that. I appreciate the referrals to do preventative care and screenings. I received my flu shot and Sean did a great job I could not feel the injection. I am extremely satisfied with the care I have been receiving since I began in July 2022!!!
