Can’t figure out why your foot pain has kicked up during the pandemic? You may have plantar fasciitis which can be worse during times of inactivity.

Plantar Fasciitis is an inflammation of the thick band of tissue called fasci on the bottom of your foot, running heel to toe. Signs that your pain may be plantar fasciitis include stabbing pain near your heel when you take your first steps in the morning or when you stand up after sitting for a long time

Things that may put you at risk for plantar fasciitis include:

  • Being overweight
  • Engaging in certain exercises like running
  • Working in professions that keep you on your feet all day
  • Flat feet
  • High arches
  • Pregnancy

Ignoring plantar fasciitis could cause further bone and joint problems in other areas of your body.
