RIM's Return-to-Work program, focuses on getting injured employees back to work quickly and safely. We provide evaluation, treatment, and work re-entry services for individuals recovering from job-related injuries or an illness that limits work performance. Our experienced treatment team of physical therapists works with each employee, along with his or her case manager and insurance company, to achieve measurable results.

What is Work Hardening and Work Conditioning?

Work hardening/conditioning  is an individualized intervention program, meaning your physical therapist will design your treatment program  around your specific tasks and requirements for returning to work. This will be dependent upon the nature of your condition, your medical history, the physical demands of your job, and your level of recovery.

The goal is to help you regain your strength and stamina so that you can return to work safely and comfortably, without risking another injury.

RIM's Work Injury Rehab Services Include:

  • Functional capacity evaluation: Tests, practices and observations that help determine a person’s ability to work; often required by insurers when an insured person applies for disability payments or pension
  • Work hardening: A highly structured, individualized treatment which cultivates a person's ability to return to work using real or simulated work
  • Work conditioning
  • Ergonomic evaluation
  • Job site analysis
  • Job coaching
  • Light duty job consultation
  •
