Breast Cancer Rehab - Post-Surgical

More than 200,000 new breast cancer cases are diagnosed each year in the United States. Current treatments may include surgery, chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Despite the success rate of these procedures, there are many physical changes involved with them, especially when women have undergone surgery.

Physical complications may include:

  • Lymphedema
  • Scar tissue formation
  • Myofascial pain
  • Limited range of motion of the upper quadrant
  • Functional limitations that alter day-to-day activities
