COVID-19 Rehab Recovery Program
DMC Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan’s new COVID-19 Rehab Recovery Program is designed to address the physical impairments many survivors face after recovering from COVID-19. Starting a rehab program soon after recovery, can help patients get
back to their normal lives and activities as quickly as possible.
Our team of experienced physical therapists and athletic trainers, have received specialized training in working with this patient population. The emphasis of the outpatient
program will be on:
- Breathing retraining
- Strength
- Endurance
- Functional skills
COVID Safe Care
We are committed to providing a safe environment and have implemented the following practices:
- All clinical staff wear medical masks and patients are required to wear their own cloth masks
- Our clinics have been reconfigured to comply with social distancing guidelines
- Extra care is being given to sanitize our facility and equipment after every use
- Staff are screened daily for COVID-19 symptoms and patients are screened before every treatment session
- Staff monitor patients’ oxygen saturation to ensure ongoing good health
The program is being launched at multiple RIM locations in southeast Michigan.
