We are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience. To do so, we are actively working with consultants to update the website by increasing its accessibility and usability by persons who use assistive technologies
such as automated tools, keyboard-only navigation, and screen readers.
We are working to have the website conform to the relevant standards of the Section 508 Web Accessibility Standards developed by the United States Access Board, as
well as the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1. These standards and guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities. We believe that conformance with these standards and
guidelines will help make the website more user friendly for all people.
Our efforts are ongoing. While we strive to have the website adhere to these guidelines and standards, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website.
If, at any time, you have specific questions or concerns about the accessibility of any particular webpage, please contact WebsiteAccess@tenethealth.com so that we may be of assistance.

Personalized Recovery Plans
Our experienced staff customizes a treatment plan tailored to the individual needs and goals of each patient. Each plan focuses on health, independence and restoring quality of life. Therapy is provided 3 hours a day, 5 days a week, which may include weekends.
Spinal cord injury patients are admitted to an inpatient unit dedicated to the treatment of spinal cord injuries. Likewise, stroke patients and brain injury patients are treated on RIM’s Neuroscience Unit. The specialty units are staffed by rehab
professionals with specialty training and expertise in treating the unique needs of each patient population. The specialty units also allow patients and families to interact and gain support from other patients with the same diagnosis.
RIM’s commitment to education involves both the patient and family. By participating in the patient/family education program and the treatment process, families and caregivers can learn how to best care for their loved ones.
RIM has been awarded millions in federal and private grants for rehabilitation research with a focus on restoring function, improving quality of life and developing innovative therapeutic techniques.
Outpatient therapy services are ready to assist patients once they are discharged from the hospital. RIM has over 30 outpatient centers located throughout southeast Michigan. Patients also have access to support groups, and adapted sports and recreational activities. In addition, RIM’s Physician Clinic provides lifetime follow-up care and support.
