Health, dental, long-term disability and liability insurance, are all provided as part of the residency training program. In addition, numerous educational benefits are also offered such as the Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) course, the annual Self Assessment Examination, membership in AAPM&R and a book stipend.

The Community
The central campus of the Detroit Medical Center (DMC) is located in the City of Detroit, which has all the amenities and excitement found in a large and lively metropolitan area. Minutes away from the DMC is the city's cultural center, which includes the Detroit Institute of Art, the Detroit Historical Museum and the Museum of African-American Art. Detroit's theater district is also downtown, and includes Music Hall, Fox Theater, the Michigan Opera Theater, the Fisher Theater, Masonic Temple and Second City. Also, Orchestra Hall, home of the renowned Detroit Symphony Orchestra is adjacent to RIM and the DMC. Sports fans and food connoisseurs can rest easy. Detroit has four major league sports teams and a diverse assortment of five-star restaurants. Many people find Detroit to be an exciting and safe place to live, work and play.
