Lawrence J. Horn, M.D.

Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

Dr. Horn joined the staff at DMC Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan (RIM) in 2005. He currently serves as the Medical Director of RIM’s Neuroscience Unit. Dr. Horn is also the Chairman of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Wayne State University School of Medicine, where he also serves as the Program Director for the PM&R Residency Program.

Dr. Horn received his medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School, Chicago, and then completed his residency in PM&R at the University of Washington in Seattle. He then completed a Brain Injury Rehabilitation Fellowship at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, a Stanford affiliate.

Dr. Horn’s areas of medical expertise are in rehabilitation of central nervous system disorders, including traumatic brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury and spasticity and he is the author of several book chapters on traumatic brain injury rehabilitation.

Dr. Horn is board-certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and holds an ABPMR Subspecialty in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine. His specialty interests include Traumatic Brain Injury, Spasticity and Botulinum Therapy for movement disorders.
