Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities

Rehabilitation Institue of Michigan (RIM) is accredited by the Commission on
Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). RIM also holds individual accreditation from CARF for our specialized programs in:

  • Spinal Cord System of Care
  • Brain Injury Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program       
  • Brain Injury Outpatient Rehabilitation Program
  • Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program

CARF is an independent, international organization that promotes the standards of care for rehabilitation programs. Accreditation signifies that a hospital's program represents the highest quality, value, and optimal outcomes for the individuals served.


The Joint Commission

Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan (RIM) is accredited by The Joint Commission. This accreditation applies to RIM's 94-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital, as well as our more than 30 outpatient centers in southeast Michigan.

The Joint Commission is an independent organization that focuses on the safety and quality of care for persons treated at hospitals and health care facilities across the country.
